Steve is a Partner in FGMK’s Transaction Advisory Services Practice. With over 30 years of experience, he is dedicated to advising clients to realize value from middle-market transactions across multiple sectors. Steve’s expertise is buy-side and sell-side due diligence, merger integration and other advisory services for mergers and acquisitions, debt offerings, carve-outs, and other transactions.
Steve has led a wide variety of cross-border and domestic projects for private equity firms and their portfolio companies, family offices, strategic acquirers including closely held middle-market companies and global organizations, investment banks, mezzanine lenders and financial institutions.
Steve’s industry experience includes industrial products, consumer products, food and beverage, chemicals, metals, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, medical products, business services, technology, marketing services, value-added distribution, technology, automotive, retail, aerospace and defense, building products, construction, energy, financial services, real estate and hospitality.
Prior to joining FGMK in 2014, was the managing partner of Grant Thornton’s Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) practice in Chicago and the Midwest for 10 years and served as national managing partner of TAS for 3 years. Steve was also on the Grant Thornton global transactions leadership team for 5 years, and the national private equity leadership team. Previously, Steve was a chief financial officer of a middle-market diversified mechanical contractor and specialty manufacturer, and a start-up medical device company.
