In our continuing effort to support the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois, FGMK was proud to participate as a table sponsor at the 30th Annual Gift of Life Gala held at the Chicago Field Museum of Natural History on November 14, 2015. This event raised $381,000 to support and enable the critical programs and services offered by the foundation, making it the most successful event to date. This support will enable the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois to screen 5,000 of the most at-risk individuals in Illinois for kidney disease, diabetes and high blood pressure through their signature KidneyMobile® screening program during the 2016 calendar year. We invite you to visit the NKFI website for more information and upcoming events.
This year’s gala was attended by FGMK supporters: Lee and Nancy Singer, Brian and Amy Cote, Barry and Julie Jacobs, Katherine Kaufman, Liz Johnson, Max Friedenberg and Marlee Luskin.
FGMK employees braved the cold and snow on November 22, 2015 to participate in the Nicasa Behavioral Health Services 2nd Annual Cold Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk held at the Old School Forest Preserve in Libertyville, Illinois. Nicasa is a not-for-profit behavioral health services organization that is building brighter futures for vulnerable and at-risk children, adults, and families in Lake County and northern Illinois. For more information on how Nicasa empowers and promotes healthy lifestyles to prevent and treat substance abuse, addiction, and other risky behaviors, please visit their website.

FGMKCares and NetrixCares Continue to Deliver Successful Annual Holiday Giving Program
For 25 years, FGMK, LLC and our technology affiliate, Netrix, LLC, have been honored to contribute to several Chicagoland charities during the holiday season. This year, the FGMKCares and NetrixCares charitable committees worked together to benefit La Rabida Children’s Hospital, Lurie Children’s Hospital, Catholic Charities, The Ark, and Misericordia.
These charitable efforts included a lot of shopping, wrapping, and packing truckloads of gifts; even a huge snowstorm couldn’t stop us! We helped stock the hospital’s toy closets for the year to help comfort and brighten each child’s stay. We fulfilled the holiday wish lists of 302 children at Catholic Charities, providing them winter coats, toys, and bikes. New bedding was donated to the Ark’s shelter, along with Hanukkah Gift Cards for the residents, and a Thanksgiving meal for over 200 people. A generous monetary donation was made to assist Misericordia with their community of care for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Every year, the firm sets a goal of growing this special endeavor by 25%, in both giving and participation. Thanks to all of our volunteers at FGMKCares and NetrixCares who went above and beyond to make this year a huge success. FGMKCares and NetrixCares participants: Adam Wolf, Aly’ssa Peterson, Bill Moy, Clare Sather, Chris Kenmore, Fay Kosacz, Jaclyn Bruen, Jennifer Mavilla, Jeremy Schaefer, Kathryn Kaufman, Kelsey Cunningham, Laura Rakers, Marc Castiglione, Max Friedenberg, Mike Becker, and Steve Roiland
And a very special thanks to Jaclyn Bruen at Netrix for all of her hard work in orchestrating another rewarding firm-wide holiday giving program!
